An evil force is entering the school walls...
It will do anything to take away our freedoms...
to take away our rights to play games in class for good...
and trick us students to supporting them.
It no longer shows any mercy for students.
It will not stop without a fight.
It will not surrender until it dies.
This evil force is Texas Instruments.
Death to TI! Long live Casio!
Our mission is to spread awareness of TI's corruption and try to lessen its impact.
Since 2007, TI has locked down programming for the TI-Nspire, increasing since the initial Ndless release in 2010, and persisting two years past that date. We fear that they might lock down programming for their other models as well.
In addition, many schools have a blanket requirement on TI calculators, not due to their merit, but TI's popularity. Offers such as this encourages students to support the corrupt company.
Our Philosophy
At the UCCP, we believe that calculator manufacturers have the obligation to enable and support programming, especially in native code. Whether or not they fulfill that responsibility, students are entitled to the right to not use the calculators in question.
